iv been skating for a year and a half now. and i always been confused about what skateboard size i should get. i wear shoe size 10 to 10-5. 170 pounds and 5"7. this is how my little story is. ever sinced i started skateboarding i started with an 8. the only problem is my ollies. i can 3 flip with 8's pretty good but when i ollie its an entire different story. i set my feet in kick flip position to ollie. if i put my feet up more it doesnt feet right so i dont ollie as good. so i tryed getting a 7.75, all my flat ground tricks were good and i ollied very good. but the problem was with the 7.75 was i couldent land stair sets or gaps. it felt like the board wasent under my feet with the 7.75. stairs and gaps are a big deal in skateboarding for me. so the question is what size should i get so i can do big gaps and stairs. also when i do stairs and gaps with an 8" my tail of the board kinda turns a little which is also something im doing to avoid. any help?

Since I started high school this year, and I guess for part of last year too, I’ve really been trying to become an independent person in whatever way possible. And I’ve been doing this by avoiding what I consider to be unproductive influences in my life (most of which I previously subscribed to). So I’ve been slowly branching off in terms of clothing, whereas I used to wear just t shirts and jeans and Uggs and Pumas, because I thought that was the “cool” thing to do. I haven’t been wearing as much makeup, and right now I’m at the point where I’m wearing Organic Wear Natural Tinted Moisturizer, Organic Wear matte finishing powder, and chapstick (and Organic Wear mascara when I go out on weekends). I’ve stopped listening to Z100 radio, which basically plays whatever songs are really popular, and I’ve been getting into less mainstream bands that I actually really enjoy such as Snow Patrol, Mute Math, and Foals. I stopped eating meat last year, for a multitude of reasons, and it’s probably been the biggest change in my life so far because it’s been the only decision I’ve made purely on my own, and against the advice of my friends and family. I rarely eat fast food anymore, and the only junk foods I eat on a regular basis now are ice cream and frozen yogurt. I have vowed not to drink or do any other drugs. I exercise more often now. I have tried my absolute best to embrace my body for what it is, which has been an ongoing struggle I’ve had my entire life. I have tried to stop constantly judging people, which is really difficult for me. I still have an extensive amount of improvement to go through, but I like the cultural shifts I have been making recently. There is ONE way to tell if an aurora is likely to happen, by use of a magnetometer. The amount of charged particles impinging on the atmosphere affects the magnetic field of the Earth. So, if you see the field change a little from the average, then that MIGHT point to more particles, which might mean an aurora. This is where the magnetometer comes in. You can build one easily. Find a clear gl or plastic container. Suspend a mirror inside using something like the thinnest fishline you can find. The thinner the better. I've used a strand peeled out from a piece of dental floss. You could even use a single strand of your hair if it is long enough. The suspended mirror inside the clear container will be protected from air currents and start acting just like a comp, which is exactly what you want. Fasten the light source so it can NOT move and use an external switch to turn the light on and off. I've used a laser pointer with great success. Mark this spot on the wall. So I've missed 17 days of school and I have been checked out 2 times. The attendance lady has already come to tell me that I need to bring in notes. I missed more school when I was ually aulted, because of home issues, and sickness. The school counselor, my Spanish teacher, and the one of the istant principals all know that I was out because of this crap. My dell desktop comp says it has a malicious virus. It's called the W32/Blaster.worm! Malware Protection shows up on screen saying to purchase this protection and it will clear it up. I can't log onto anything. It will not let me restore, add or remove programs or software. It's blocking my computer from me doing anything to try to resolve this issue. HELP! Can I install one of my dell cd Ito fix this issue? I'm afraid to purchase the Malware Protection because I'm unsure if it's the nice guy or part of the virus trying to get credit card info from me. I need advice about my husband?

I really need some advice from someone in the military. My husband's currently deployed to Iraq. I support him 100%. I'm always there for him, I send him packages, we don't argue, I don't nag. For our second experiment that involved Osmosis the experimental question was “Will a higher temperature have a greater degree of weight change”. We were trying to figure out what exactly cause a weight change and if a higher temperature causes a more significant weight change. At this point we were observing osmosis and what factors influence the rate of transport for it. The hypothesis we had regarding the effect of the different solutions on the rate of osmosis was that the 10% salt would have increased water weight, the 0.9% would show little change and that the distilled water would have an increase in weight. Some of our results proved out hypothesis was right, and some were a little off. How do I calm down an overwhelmed cat?

I adopted a healthy, already de-clawed cat from the animal shelter two years ago. I take him to the vet every six months for a check up. He has all his shots and is very affectionate and mild tempered. Since he was already de-clawed, my vet told me that I should keep him indoors because he would not be able to defend himself against another cat or a dog without claws. However, I became saddened by how my cat would stare out windows and meow at the door like a dog wanting to taken for a walk. I did some research online and found that I could put my cat in a harness and take him outside. I got him fitted for one and let him get used to it while indoors. However, when we finally went outside (some 3 weeks later; he kept flopping over when he felt the harness on him) it looked like he had a sensory overload and was all over the place. He rolled around in the sand which got him all tangled up in the leash and hissed at me when I picked him up. I've literally only heard this cat hiss twice in the two years I've had him; once at a dog in the vet's office and the situation I just described. I'm unsure of what to do now. Just so you know, Sirius and XM merged so it is just one company now. I'm not really familiar with the rap stations on XM, the only thing I listen to on it is the Opie & Anthony Show. But a better idea would be an iPod with a car adapter. The XM is a monthly subscription so it's not a one and done type purchase. And I think his car needs to be compatible with the XM service. I know a guy at work had to pay 200 dollars for a car player too. It really depends on how much you want to spend. I know XM has Shade 45 which is Eminem's station if your boyfriend is into him, but I would go with an iPod and let him fill it with what he wants. The car adapter I have only cost 10 dollars. I tried to ring this guy we only normally speak through text did a couple times in school but its hard as we have different cles none are near we are in a different year. I think hes interested in me I'm not certain though we make alot of eye contact with each other. I have a four year old daughter. Lately her behavior has gone down hill fast. She will throw things, if I send her to her room, she kicks the door repeatedly, and screams repeatedly(record so far 1hr). I don't know what else to do, I hate the person she can get me to be. I don't like her, I even feel guilty sometimes trying not to let her know it. I don't like the way I feel after I try to deal with her. I'm so angry, and aggravated. We get up at 530am, and then she's at daycare for the day. Then I pick her up and we pick up right where we left off. If we have a bad morning, it ruins my day, and I am angry for the most part of the morning, dwelling on how to fix these issues. If we have a bad afternoon, I am angry, frustrated and moody. My husband backs me up but is rarely home. He has the same issues with her as I do but is not easily frustrated, and when he yells it's scary so that is seldom. I have a 2 year old that is starting to pick up on her bad habits. I don't know what else to do, and I am starting to think that we need to see a family counselor.

I read a statistical study that weighs pitbulls as the most dangerous domestic dogs due to their temperment. Extreme weather has and always will happen, anthropogenic global warming or not. Think of this, climate is the study of weather over months and years, not days and weeks! So you can throw their answers out the window immediately. As for seeding, you are asking a very complex question regarding a lot of cloud micro-physics. Silver Iodide is the most common "seeding agent" these days, but it should be said it is an "ice nuclei", and it is used in environments with sufficient amounts of supercooled liquid water to which it will act as a nuclei for that supercooled water to freeze upon. ONce this occurs, the Bergeron–Findeisen process develops precipitation as the ice crystals grow via deposition. Either way, we are getting way too deep into the scientific process. What directly caused the heavy rains was something us atmospheric scientists call deep, moist convection, or thunderstorms. Atmospheric flows (which I won't delve into here) had a tendency to to develop these thunderstorms over the same areas for a prolonged period of time, thus causing the heavy rains. It has been tried through the years (in funded studies and experiments) to seed clouds in various ways, but these experiments are on much smaller scales (think individual ulus clouds), not on large scale thunderstorms which can be orders of magnitude larger than the experiments done in the past. It would take fleets of airplanes and insane logistics to even try and seed thunderstorms, if not entirely impossible due to the short lifespan and extreme updrafts/downdrafts in thunderstorms (not conducive to safe flying!). So no, it is highly unlikely if not impossible for any cloud seeding to have any part in the heavy rains over Pakistan.

Ragdoll Cat - is all of this normal?

Our gorgeous ragdoll female has just had her 1st birthday. She is not at all docile when she is awake in fact she runs up and down the hallway skidding and doing leaps up the wall when she plays. She will fetch items we throw. When she sleeps it's usually on her back with legs spread out. She won't sit on our lap and doesn't like to be held much, but does stay close by and sleeps at the end of our bed. She also follows me from room to room. She loves getting into the shower after we have used it and rolls around in the water. I'm wondering if she will become a lap cat as she gets older as I really thought ragdolls would be lap cats.

How do i "convince" my baby to fall asleep on her own?

My daughter is 3 months old and sleeps through the night. The only problem I face is she is always way fussy before she goes to bed and half the time she has to be in her little rocker. Is she really my best friend?

I am 32 and married and my best friend of one year is 25. We have been friends mostly over the phone, and met about once a month or coffee or lunch. We were always "just" friends, with nothing romantic/ual between us. But we did acknowledge an attraction for each other. In fact, I was a little infatuated with her and I confessed it to her. She was dating someone till a couple of months back, but now she has gone ahead and gotten married to another guy. I am not sure what to make of some things. She was always very open about about how much she liked/loved me - and said it very often - and she always talked about how I was her all-time greatest friend and one of the greatest guys she has ever known and she loved that I cared for her and how she admired me and how she always talked about me with her friends (I did not know any of her friends). But I know she used to lie to me about certain things. It also seemed to me that she tried to keep a distance from me. We did not meet very often (once a month on average), But there were a couple of times when she could have met me but still refused when I asked to meet. But she still said she missed me and loved me. In short, she was much more forthcoming about speaking her feelings than I was. She always shared everything in her life with me. I did not do the same, mostly because I talk less and dont really have anything worth "sharing". But like I said, I knew that she lied to me about certain things, and also many times tried to maintain distance. She also declined everytime I made plans for her to meet my wife. Now I'm thinking if all the nice things she said about me were true or if they were just lies. She never used me in any way, so its not like she would lie to me to keep me close to her and then use me. Now that she's married and moved to another town, we hardly talk. And I;m missing her badly. What do you guys make of this? Did she really adore/admire/love/value me as a friend, or do you think these were lies?
