Which GOP candidate for 2012 has the widest electoral appeal across the political spectrum?

When you say appeal in the age of Obama celebrity do you mean who can be the best entertainer, or the best person to serve as President. If you are talking about a qualified candidate, probably Gingrich. Plenty of goverment experience, tons of education and a plain speaking person who does not mince words. He also is not obsessed with power as he had plenty and left Congress to pursue teaching and writing. And he is an American citizen (guess we need to say that these days).
