How do people restore their beat up vintage sneakers?

I just bought some Nike SB Futuras which have been skated in so its pretty beat but now the cost for these are $500 so I want to resore them so they will look now or close to brand new again. I've seen some Jordans and other shoes restored and thry look like to brand new and plus before they started, they were really beat. I would like to know how would I restore the suede and creases on the leather of my shoes and also other damages. Thanks.
