you did a good job explaining the plot but notice at the end there it get cut off in mid-sentence leaving people wondering what you were trying to say. in the movie your talking about, Anastasia runs off with Dimitri but in reality, she is murdered by the Bolsheviks along with her sisters, brother, parents and three servants as proven by the skeletal remains found more than a decade ago. the movie was portraying the "what if Anastasia really had lived?" scenario as people believed for many years that she lived when Anna Andersen came along (she was proven not to be Anastasia later on). so based on how you wrote the question, this is the best answer i can give you.
